Mental Health, Drug, or Alcohol Issues: Helping your Child
Our youth face challenging times today. The pandemic disrupted social interactions, making it harder for young people to connect with one another. Instead of forming real friendships, many rely on social media for companionship, which can feel empty. This shift has led to a rise in loneliness, and sadly, drug use among youth is at an all-time high. Many young lives are being lost to addiction. It's crucial for us to recognize these issues and support our youth in finding meaningful connections and healthier choices. Together, we can help them navigate these tough times and build a brighter future.
As a Veteran you have probably experienced more than those who have never served and in our opinion you are better prepared to help children and teens overcome many of the issues they face as they mature into young adults.
As a parent, you want the best for your child, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Sometimes it can be hard to know what your child needs and where to go for help. Here are some resources to help support your child’s mental and emotional health.
